“HoloPlanet (HollowPlanet)” is an exhibit piece that plays an animated narrative across multiple holographic devices. This project strives to tell a story centered around themes of deforestation, habitat loss, and the modern age through a unique format. The demoed piece featured three pedestals approximately five feet tall, each holding a holographic display. Viewers could, and did, wander amongst the displays as they chose for a more immersive experience. The animation was cut and edited so that each consecutive piece played on a calculated delay, giving the impression that the character could traverse across the mounted displays.
